Welcome to Seventh Avenue School

Seventh Avenue Elementary School is closed for the summer.  Our principal, Mr. Ormsby, may be reached at Atlantic Avenue School; 856-547-0630.  District summer hours are 7:15 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday.  See you in September; it is going to be a spectacular 2016-2017 school year!

Seventh Avenue Elementary School is home to approximately 140 students in kindergarten through sixth grade. The school is one of three elementary schools of the Haddon Heights School District. For more information and weekly correspondence, please visit the Seventh Avenue eBoard.

Throughout the school year, students are awarded Golden Tickets for good deeds, acts of kindness, following school rules and more.  The class that collects the most Golden Tickets for the school year is awarded a special prize.

Classroom Visitation Days For Parents

  • Parent visits for grades 1, 2 and 3 are from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm. The parents may stay for lunch from 12:00 pm to 12:25 pm.
  • Parent visits for grades 4, 5 and 6; come for lunch from 12:25 pm to 12:50 pm and then visit the classroom from 12:50 pm to 1:50 pm.
  • Kindergarten classroom visit will be from 10:30 am to 11:25 am.

Kindergarten Registration for the 2016–2017 School Year

Kindergarten Registration will held on Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at Glenview Elementary School from 9:00am to 11:00am. Please click here for more detailed information and required forms. 

If you miss this date, please go to Glenview Avenue School to register your child for Kindergarten.

NOTE:  No student will be registered or placed in a school until all paperwork has been submitted.

Aftercare Opportunities

Early Arrival Program (EAP) is available 7:30 - 8:30 AM each morning school is open at the normal time. (Not available on one-hour or two-hour delayed openings.)

Kindergarten Aftercare is available from 11:25 AM until 3:00 PM daily. Aftercare is not in session on November 25, 2015, December 23, 2015, and June 17, 2016. The Program begins on September 10, 2015.

YMCA Aftercare Program is available at Seventh Avenue school from 3:00PM until 6:30PM on full days and 12:45 - 6:30 on half days. This program is available for students in grades K-6.  Call Chelsea Burke at (609) 543-6200 x 301 for more details. Students are accepted on a first come, first serve basis. Chelsea will inform you of prices and availability. The program is available the first day of school and everyday school is in session for students in grades 1 through 6. This program is available to kindergarten students beginning September 10, 2015.

School Messenger

Seventh Avenue Elementary School is part of an automated calling system. This system has the capability to send phone messages to all elementary parents quickly. It will be used to notify parents of emergency school closings and other important events. If you are not receiving these phone calls, please contact the Main Office:  856-547-0610 ext. 1.

New Immunization Requirements

The State of New Jersey has made amendments to the State Sanitary Code, which establishes immunization requirements for children. These changes will require all children to receive additional immunizations. For more information, please CLICK HERE
