Welcome to Seventh Avenue School


Seventh Avenue Elementary School is home to approximately 130 students in Kindergarten through sixth grade. The school is one of three elementary schools of the Haddon Heights School District. For more information and weekly correspondence, please visit the Seventh Avenue eBoard.

In the event of a delayed opening due to inclement weather, Grades K6 may begin to arrive at 9:35 for one hour delays and 10:35 for two hour delays. Kindergarten students will be dismissed at 12:15 on one hour delayed days and at 1:15 on two hour delayed days.

Morning Care will not take place on days when the school is closed or there are delayed openings for inclement weather.

If the school closes early due to inclement weather or other emergency, you will be notified through our SchoolMessenger automated telephone system.  (More details may be found in the Parent Handbook.)

March 15th Senior Citizen Dinner hosted by the sixth grade students:
If school is open on Wednesday, even if we have a delayed opening, the dinner will take place.  If for some reason, school is closed on Wednesday, the dinner will be postponed and a new date will be sent out later this week.

Classroom Visitation Days For Parents

  • Parent visits for grades 1, 2 and 3 are from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm. The parents may stay for lunch from 12:00 pm to 12:25 pm.
  • For grades 4, 5 and 6, parents may come for lunch from 12:25 pm to 12:50 pm and then visit the classroom from 12:50 pm to 1:50 pm.
  • Kindergarten classroom visit will be from 10:30 am to 11:25 am.

Kindergarten Registration for the 2017–2018 School Year

Kindergarten Registration will be held on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at Glenview Elementary School from 9:00am to 11:00am. Please click here for more detailed information and required forms.  If there is inclement weather on February 15th and school is closed, the postponement date will be February 22, 2017 from 9:00am to 11:00am.  

If you miss this date, please go to Glenview Avenue School to register your child for Kindergarten.  

NOTE:  No student will be registered or placed in a school until all paperwork has been submitted.

Aftercare Opportunities

Early Arrival Program (EAP) is available 7:30 - 8:30 AM each morning school is open at the normal time. (Not available on one-hour or two-hour delayed openings.)

Kindergarten Aftercare is available from 11:25 AM until 3:00 PM daily. Aftercare is not in session on November 23, 2016, December 23, 2016, and June 16, 2017. The Program begins on September 12, 2016.

YMCA Aftercare Program (Run by the YMCA of Burlington and Camden Counties) is available at Seventh Avenue school from 3:00PM until 6:30PM on full days and 12:45 - 6:30 on half days. This program is available for students in grades K-6.  Call Samantha Pierce at (856) 231-9622 for more details and forms. Students are accepted on a first come, first serve basis. Ms. Pierce ( ) will inform you of prices and availability. The program is available the first day of school and everyday school is in session for students in grades 1 through 6. This program is available to kindergarten students beginning September 12, 2016.

School Closings

School Messenger

Seventh Avenue Elementary School is part of an automated calling system. This system has the capability to send phone messages to all elementary parents quickly. It will be used to notify parents of emergency school closings and other important events. If you are not receiving these phone calls, please contact the Main Office:  856-547-0610 ext. 1.

New Immunization Requirements
