SEPTEMBER 11, 2018 BOARD OF EDUCATION MEETING

The September 11, 2018, Board of Education meeting will take place in the Seventh Avenue School Multi-Purpose Room at 7:30pm. At the meeting I will be presenting the 2018-2019 District Goals and the spring 2018 PARCC results. During the meeting I will also be explaining the timeline, when the public will have an opportunity to give their input, and when decisions will be made regarding grade level schools.

NEW TEACHER MENTORING PROGRAM

Mr. Corn, Director of Curriculum and Instruction, is enhancing our new teacher mentor program. The program will now be more of a team-orientated approach. Mr. Corn met and collaborated with all the administrators to seek input/feedback on what areas they felt needed to be addressed with new teachers. In addition, administrators were encouraged to participate in the program. Administrators offered up areas of expertise and topics to turn key to new teachers throughout the year long program.
